test post (hide from twitter et al)

(using the tag “onlyhere” this post should not be shared to twitter and thus facebook.)

Might as well leave this here for reference. So now that I have things set up here properly again I plan to blog more often. It may be just a video share with some observation on it or it may be a more in depth post examining the development in our networked world. There have been many thing I have wanted to blog about over the past few months but I felt I was in danger of getting to personal with some topics. Such topics deserve a wider space of their own where discussion is encouraged more.

For the past few months I have been experimenting with the Elgg platform to build the network needed for the progression of the ITISON idea. Of all the tools I have used to attempt make this happen, Elgg has been the best. Although it is not without it’s cons most of what is not working is down to my own lack of experience in coding. This is a good thing, for I cannot see it’s limits.

I will post a proper post on Elgg soon after version 1.7 comes out.

In the meantime you can check out and join in one of the beta sites here….

nothing to see here!

oops it has been months.. no time for this at the mo.. that’s not to say my web activity has slowed over the past few months, it’s just well.. i don’t want to talk about it! exactly. and there has been that rut thing!

I do tend to post bits and pieces on my Tumblr and Stumbleupon pages every now and then (mostly the latter) and hoarding more info away in other caves!

NIN Cd shipped!

Whohoo! This just reminded me that I never did get round to review the Nine Inch Nails album “Ghosts”. Well, I was hooked on first impressions and bought it straight away. Not just the $5 download version but the CD for $10 (plus postage and packaging.. still cheaper than buying it in the shops). The album is a fantastic soundtrack and that is what it is. No vocals, just lush instrumentals on an electronic vibe. Incidentally there is now a contest running to make videos for it in a sort of film festival on YouTube. I plan to add that to the queue of projects currently on @ IT:IS:ON HQ!
Anyway, as I said the album is fantastic and has been playing on repeat a lot while I work away on my projects.

That’s all for now.
